The principle of Neotec Audio is Don Dowling. Don started his working life in aviation as a pilot.

After an extended 3 1/2 year working holiday across Asia and Europe the realities of life resulted in him joining Klarion Enterprises in 1976 as a sales representative within the Professional Audio Division in Melbourne. Within 18 months he moved to Sydney to establish and manage the NSW Branch office of Klarion. During this period the company grew to become a major supplier of professional audio equipment including MCI, Otari, Schoeps Soundcraft, Soundtracs, Klark Teknik, BGW, Martin Audio, Canare, Auratone, Fostex, Allen & Heath and dbx.

In 1984 Klarion and Rank Electronics amalgamated and the product range increased further to include leading brands Neumann, Soundworkshop, Beyer, Lexicon, EMT, Tandberg, and many more.

In 1987 this combined operation was renamed Amber Technology.

Further down the track an interesting and challenging period was spent working with Editron and the very successful Australian developed and built Editron Synchroniser and the big Harrison Series 10 Consoles installed at Soundfirm, the Australian Film Television & Radio School mixing theatre and VTC.

In the 5 years up to mid 1999, Don has been involved in Studio Connections Australia, the Australian Distributor of Lexicon, Genelec, Drawmer, Soundtracs, Z-Systems and Soundfield microphones.

Neotec began operations at the beginning of 2000 representing SADiE digital editors, Signex patching solutions and Stedman microphones. PMC (Professional Monitor Company) range was added at the close of 2000
